Internship's Final Reflection

My goals were to complete the hours due and to learn new things about the hospital and to achieve them, I tried not to miss any day of internship but I missed a day so I worked extra hours. I tried my best when I was in Patient Transport to do everything that I had to do. The most important things I learned are how to carry a patient and how to be patient with them. My Mentor thought us about how to be punctual, how to be responsible and to ask questions whenever we don't understand something.
Working at the hospital makes me feel like I can be responsible doing serious things on my own without having someone to help me. The challenges that I overcome were with some patients who couldn’t show respect to a volunteer and couldn’t think about how helpful volunteering was for a hospital. If I had to start internship next week I would work in patient transport because it helps me know different parts of the hospital, there’s nothing that I would do differently.
My advice for a new intern at my internship site is to respect everyone who he/she will have to work with, to be on time and to take everything seriously. I will miss the good advice from my Mentor and the kindness of most people of St Vincent’s Hospital.
